Leicester Automotive Firm Expands with Strategic Property Acquisition

03 March 2025

Leicester-based automotive glazing specialist, Allscreens Nationwide, has acquired 301 Thurmaston Lane, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion.

The site, a former car showroom, recently developed by online fashion retailer Boohoo as a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and training hub, was marketed by commercial agents Andrew + Ashwell.

It offers 25,236 SQ FT of high-specification showroom, office, workshop, and warehouse accommodation across three levels. Located on a 2.03-acre plot with a 100-meter frontage along the A563 Thurmaston Lane, the property also provides parking for up to 100 vehicles, including electric vehicle charging points.

Previously heralded as a landmark investment in ethical manufacturing, the Boohoo Centre of Excellence was designed to set new standards in garment production, offering cutting-edge machinery and training facilities. Now to be repurposed by Allscreens Nationwide, the site will serve as a hub for the company’s automotive glazing services, including windscreen repair, replacement, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) recalibration.

The modern premises include a double-height glazed showroom, offices, meeting rooms, and staff facilities. The integrated workshop and warehouse areas, equipped with multiple service doors, provide the operational efficiency Allscreens Nationwide require to meet growing customer demand.

Dan Sole, Co-Vice Chairman of Allscreens Nationwide, said: "We are thrilled to have acquired 301 Thurmaston Lane, the building is a perfect fit for our Head Office with great facilities for our team members and customers and huge room for growth. The building will be our centre of operations for our sites located across the UK, thank you to the teams at Andrew & Ashwell, RBS and BHW for supporting our business in our next chapter.
