Door-opening move for Leicester window firm
16th May 2011
A move to large factory premises is set to open doors for a Leicester windows and conservatories firm, streamlining production, offering scope for expansion and creating 25 new jobs.
Leading Leicester commercial property specialist Andrew and Ashwell has recently completed the letting of the 44,671 sq ft of space at Wharf Way, Glen Parva, to All Weather Windows.
The move, due for completion this week, will enable the long-established Leicester company to consolidate its operation under one roof, enhancing production and boosting employment by 50%.
Located near the entrance of Wharf Way Industrial Estate, off the A426 Leicester Road, the factory unit has been fully refurbished, comprising
detached factory and warehouse premises, with a two-storey office
and amenity block. There are individual offices, toilets,
reception and canteen facilities on the ground floor, with open-plan offices above.
All Weather Windows is among the largest manufacturers and installers of windows, doors and conservatories in Leicestershire, with a reputation earned over 25 years providing competitively priced, high quality products and service.
Located for the past 15 years on Faircharm Industrial Estate, off Narborough Road, All Weather Windows has continued to expand without finding the perfect premises and currently occupies four different units on the estate.
Alistair Mattock, All Weather Windows Managing Director, is delighted with the new premises and said he is looking forward to the enhanced opportunities the new factory will bring.
“We have continued to buck trends in a difficult market and aim to continue our steady growth.
“Being able to relocate under one roof will reduce our costs, as well as facilitating better service and communication within the company. Having greater space also offers scope for expansion, generating higher productivity that we expect will create another 25 jobs over the next 12 months.
Malcolm Grayson, Director at Andrew and Ashwell, said the factory premises provided the space and facilities All Weather Windows had been seeking.
“We are pleased to have been able to help All Weather Windows find the right premises for their needs. This is a high quality unit, ideal for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, in a prime location, both within the Leicester area and for the motorway network, only two miles away.
“The success of the letting shows that although the market is currently challenging there is demand for the right premises in the right location.”
