New recovery specialist at Andrew and Ashwell

Michael Allwood BSC (HONS) MRICS has joined commercial property agents and surveyors Andrew and Ashwell of London Road, Leicester, from June 1st 2008. His appointment follows the recent retirement of Alan Sawden from the partnership, although Alan retains a consultancy role.
Michael, aged 35, has spent the past 15 years based from Leicester city centre. He spent the last five with Lambert Smith Hampton, having headed up the Professional Department at their Leicester office. As well as dealing with all Professional aspects of Commercial property he also specialises in Corporate Recovery based work and trading leisure and licensed disposals.
Married with two young daughters, Michael said he was looking forward to joining Andrew and Ashwell and working alongside its current partners Jon Archer and Malcolm Grayson.
“I have worked with both in the past and believe we'll make a good team going forward,” he said. “The company is obviously very well established and has a strong local history. I know Jon and Malcolm very well so it will be good to work with them and bring new opportunities to the company.”
Jon said he was glad to be welcoming Michael on board: “Michael has a wealth of experience in all aspects of professional work associated with the commercial sector,” he said. “He has handled valuations for many major lending institutions and provided landlord and tenant advice for national and local clients. We believe he'll be a strong asset to our company and we are delighted he's joining our team.”
